Additional Information: -I have a lot of experience in the field of negotiating and managing. I have a substantial amount of negotiating skills that I have acquired from real life experiences. -In 2005 I acted as the general contractor in the construction of my home. I contracted the individual jobs out myself. Since I was my own contractor,I had to prepare and present a cost analysis in order for the bank to approve my loan. The cost analysis had to take into consideration all the elements for the job. In the cost analysis, I wrote a planning estimate with all the prices of each job I negotiated with contractors building my house. Evaluated contractor cost proposal and analyzed cost data from the individual contractors. I met with the contractors and was given bids from them. I conducted cost analysis to compare prices from the contractors. Then I negotiated the proper cost for the job with the contractor that I chose. I awarded the job to the contractor with the best value. Frequently inspected the contractors craftsmanship to ensure it met drawing and blueprint specifications. County inspectors were required to be notified to witness critical evolutions during the building phase. At the conclusion of the inspection, the county inspector submitted inspection reports pertaining to the results of the check point. At the completion of my home, there was an over run of 2 percent cost variance. After investigating this, it was due to the increasing cost of materials. - I am proficient in Microsoft office, including word, power point and excel. I currently use these programs on a daily basis. During my time at the veterinary clinic, I used programs such as Quick books, and Cornerstone. I also have had to learn other computer programs such as SPSS. This is a program that I learned in my Quantitative Analysis course. SPSS is a program specializing in data mining, customer relationship management, business intelligence and data analysis. I also learned programs in college such as Maple, which is a math program that I had to use during Differential Equations. Maplesoft is a world leader in mathematical and analytical software. The Maple system embodies advanced technology such as symbolic computation. - I have always been given excellent employee reviews everywhere that I have worked. -I have also taken an administrative law course in the political science field. Administrative law is the body of law that governs the activities of administrative agencies of government. Government agency action can include rulemaking, adjudication, or the enforcement of a specific regulatory agenda. Administrative law is considered a branch of public law. As a body of law, administrative law deals with the decision-making of administrative units of government (for example, tribunals, boards or commissions) that are part of a national regulatory scheme in such areas as police law, international trade, manufacturing, the environment, taxation, broadcasting, immigration and transport. Administrative law expanded greatly during the twentieth century, as legislative bodies worldwide created more government agencies to regulate the increasingly complex social, economic and political spheres of human interaction. -I received excellent scores on the Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment Exam. -I received an above average score on the Mathematics Content Knowledge Praxis Test, this score qualifies me for a teaching license(to teach any math, including calculus) in all fifty states. -After passing these tests,I also received a Professional Collegiate Teaching License in Mathematics.
